Overview:

Easy Life Library is extremely easy-to-use software for automation of small libraries. EL Library can be used by schools, colleges and companies to automate their in-house library. The software allows complete automation of library functions. You can create entire database of all your books, CD, DVD, video cassettes and any other important media. You can keep track of all issues, receipts, late returns and such transactions. Users can also easily search for information on subjects of interest to them. This library software may be integrated with other software solutions from Adit Microsys, viz. Academic Institute Management System (AIMS), Easy Life Accounting and Easy Life Inventory software.

User access

Easy Life library software can be used on a single PC, on a peer-to-peer network, or on a large enterprise network running Windows 2000 server with SQL 2000 server. You can create users and provide them access rights as desired.

Master creation

You can easily create a comprehensive master database of all your publications including books, CD, DVD, software, journals, articles or any other type of publications. The master information captures all relevant information such as publication media, language, ISBN, publisher, supplier, subject, authors, cost, number of copies, whether it can be issued outside library and penalty for late returns. A unique access number is assigned to each copy of publication.

A flexible address book is provided for administrators to easily stay in touch with all the people who matter.

Transactions

Easily manage issue and receipt transactions. The software keeps track of due date so that unit for late returns can be collected correctly and easily. You can also manage to change status of books to misplaced, lost, damaged, etc.

Reports

Get all the reports you may want on-screen or in print. Search for books, to who they are issued, when they are due for return, penalty collected, etc.

Tools

Easy Life library software allows you to set preferences including default settings, list parameters and desktop settings. Backup your data and restore it when required.

Availability options:

  • Single user on a Windows desktop
  • Multi-user on a small, peer network (no server or database required)
  • Multi-user on a network: requires MS Windows 2000 Server and MS SQL 2000 Server)
  • Media: Easy Life Library software is supplied on CD media.

  • PC with Pentium 90 or higher processor with minimum 64 MB of RAM
  • Microsoft Windows® 95 or later
  • 30 MB of available hard disk space
  • 2X or faster CD-ROM drive
  • VGA graphics card or compatible video graphics adapter
  • SVGA display; colour monitor recommended
  • Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
  • In case of Easy Life Library Enterprise edition, a server is
    required with MS Windows 2000 Server and MS SQL 2000
    Server installed and running.
